Gippsland Aeronautics announced on November 25 that both models of the GA8 Airvan have received type certification in Argentina, as the company targets potential markets in South America.
The company says that it sees particularly good potential for the GA8 TC-320, which features a turbocharged Lycoming engine, for operations through the Andes. Airvans have been demonstrated in a number of South American countries in recent years, including at the 2008 FIDAE International Air and Space Fair at Santiago de Chile.
