“With the increased frequency of flights out of Melbourne, the ability to make your own connections and through fares to destinations beyond Kuala Lumpur has never been easier,” AirAsia X general manager Australia Darren Wright said.

“This increased service will not only give passengers better two-way connectivity, but will reduce transit times when connecting to further destinations and beyond including London, China and the Middle East and other routes serviced by AirAsia’s growing network.”
The move to double daily services comes after the carrier previously announced that it was increasing its services to 12 times per week from Melbourne and daily services to the Gold Coast. AirAsia X also flies daily to Perth.
