Hawker Beechcraft has announced the USAF has ordered an additional six MC-12W Liberty ISR aircraft to add to the 23 it ordered last year and already has in service.
Based on the King Air 350ER, the special mission equipped MC-12Ws have already been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of coalition troops. The King Air 350ER provides an additional 700kg in gross weight thanks to additional fuel in the engine nacelles and heavier landing gear, and thus extended range for long endurance ISR missions.
