Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey, which provides maintenance repair and overhaul on regional airliner engines, has announced that it has won overhaul contracts from Alliance Airlines and Aero Rescue.

Under a three year contract, Lufthansa Technik AERO will provide engine overhaul on Alliance’s PW125Bs which power its fleet of five Fokker 50s. “Alliance Airlines’s decision for our technical support package will provide them with a comprehensive quality product, balancing highest reliability and cost efficiency”, said Mark Johnson, CEO of Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey. “Welcoming Alliance Airlines to the customer base, Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey increases its market share in Australia/New Zealand to more than 30 per cent”.

Similarly, AeroRescue has signed an agreement which will see AERO provide MRO services on the PW119 engines which power its fleet of five Dornier 328 aircraft.

“This new contract is an important milestone to expand our engine MRO business in the Australian MRO market. Aero Rescue will fully benefit from our continuous effort to deliver the most competitive support packages and take advantage of our more then 19 years experience in regional aircraft operation and engine maintenance,” said Joerg Femerling, vice president of marketing and sales.
