A number of groups have come together to celebrate 100 years of powered flight in Australia, which are to be held at Diggers Rest, Victoria, between March 18-21 2010.
The celebrations will coincide with the anniversary of famous escapologist Harry Houdini’s first flight of a powered aircraft in Australia on March 18 1910 at Diggers Rest, and will include a commemoration ceremony, airshow and auto and aircraft swap meet. The celebrations have been organised by the Lions Club of Diggers Rest and are sponsored by the Shire of Melton.
