Boeing, Shanghai Airlines and Shanghai Airport Authority celebrated the opening of a new two bay hangar at their Pudong based maintenance, repair and overhaul joint venture, Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co, on October 15.
Boeing Shanghai was established in June 2006, and focuses on MRO for 737NGs for a variety of airline customers in China and surrounding countries. The company plans to expand its service offerings to include widebodies and passenger-to-freighter conversions.
