Vh-vlh Was Built on Order for Ansett Australia as a 727‑277lr and Registered Vh‑anb Before Being Delivered to Melbourne on August 2 1981. Vh-anb Operated the Last 727-200 Passenger Service for Ansett on April 23 1997 as Flight An36 From Hobart to Melbourne Before Being Sold Overseas. Then Registered Vh‑vlh, the 727 Returned to Melbourne on November 19 2002 on Delivery to Transaustralian Air Express.

727-227f Rp-c8019 Departed Brisbane for Biak and Clark in the Philippines on June 14 While 727-51f Rp-c8017, Which Was Using the Callsign ‘transglobal 501’, Departed Brisbane for Darwin and Johor Bahru on July 14.

Ozjet 737-229(a) Vh‑obn, Which Was Cancelled From the Register on May 14, Was Finally Placed on the Us Register on July 2 as N732hv to the Wells Fargo Bank of Salt Lake City. As of Early August the 737 Remained Parked at Perth Airport but Wearing Its Us Registration.

737-229(a)s Vh-ozu and Vh-ozx, Which Are Also Parked at Perth, Were Cancelled From the Register on June 29.

On July 2 Vh-vwu Was Ferried From Newcastle to Melbourne as Flight Jq7981 Before Entering Service Later That Day as Flight Jq438 From Melbourne to the Gold Coast.

The Entry Into Service of Vh-vwu Takes the Jetstar Fleet to 44 Units: Six A330-200s, Five A321s and 33 A320s.

Coral Sun Airways Took Delivery of a Second Islander Recently With the Delivery of Bn-2b-26 T3-vin. In Traffic/ July We Reported the Arrival in Cairns From Okinawa via Madang on May 15 of Bn- 2b-26 Vh-yie and It Was This Aircraft Which Was Destined for Coral Sun. The Ferry Flight Continued South to Brisbane/ Archerfield Where the Aircraft Was Painted in the Colours of Coral Sun, Registered T3-vin and Named Islander Ii. On June 29 the Aircraft Ferried Out of the Gold Coast Bound for Tarawa via Norfolk Island and Nadi.

Great Barrier Airlines Bn‑2a/3 Trislander Zk-lou Was Damaged on July 5 When Its Right Hand Propeller Detatched in Flight. The Trislander, Which Was Operating a Flight From Claris Airfield on Great Barrier Island to Auckland, Returned Safely to Claris After the Incident.

Jayrow Helicopters, Which Operated the Coulson/executive Transport Sikorsky S-61n C-fxec Out of Darwin on Resource Work From January to Late May, Moved the Operation of the Aircraft to West Sale During June.

for the Six Month Period January to June 2009 a Total of 14 Commercial Jet Aircraft Were Delivered to Operators in Our Region. This Compares With Figurers of 14, 21, 14 and 30 in the First Six Months of 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. The January to June Deliveries Broken Down Into Types Were One A330-200, Three A321s, Five A320s, Three 777-300ers, One E-190 and One E-170. The 777-300er Introduced Into Service by V Australia Was the First of Type in the Region.

January Deliveries Were A320‑232 Vh-vnh to Tiger Airways in Melbourne on the 15th and A320-232 Vh-vqb to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 23rd.

February Saw the Arrival of 777-3zger Vh-voz to V Australia in Sydney on the 9th, 777-3zger Vh-vpd to V Australia in Brisbane on the 20th, A320-232 Vh-vng to Tiger Airways in Melbourne on the 21st, and A320-232 Vh‑vqa to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 22nd.

April Deliveries Were 777‑3zger Vh-vpe to V Australia in Los Angeles on the 6th and E-170-100lr Vh‑anv to Airnorth in Darwin on the 15th.

May Saw the Arrival of E‑190-100igw Vh-zpm to Virgin Blue in Brisbane on the 9th and A321-231 Vhvwx to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 16th.

June Deliveries Were A321‑231 Vh-vww to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 1st, A320-232 Vh-vgz to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 12th, A330-203mrtt Ec-334 (the Future Raaf A39-003) in Brisbane on the 25th and A321-231 Vh-vwu to Jetstar in Newcastle on the 28th.
