How do some pilots make flying look so easy?

If you want to become a better pilot you first need to understand what you are aiming for. The age old saying that “a superior pilot uses his (or her) superior knowledge to avoid having to display his (or her) superior skills” is even more applicable in modern aircraft as we have moved from silk scarves, steam driven dials and manually wrestling with controls to fly by wire aircraft with glass cockpits that are ‘operated’ through computer enhanced interfaces.
