French newspaper Les Echos claims that Air France-KLM and Veolia have called off plans to launch a high-speed rail business across continental Europe, claiming that the airline group is reluctant to go ahead due to the uncertain future regulatory framework. The two companies were to launch the services in 2010 when Europe was due to open up rail competition.
