RNZAF 757s return to service after freighter mods

The Royal New Zealand Air Force has returned to service its two Boeing 757 transports after an extensive upgrade program.

The NZ$221m (A$175m) acquisition and modification project began when the RNZAF accepted two former Transavia Airlines 757-2K2s to replace its two ageing 727-100 transports in March and July of 2003. Both 757s had been delivered new to Transavia in 1993, and had each logged about 30,000 hours.
