Liberation from barriers
Main trunk or tourist route economy travel is not much fun these days. Long queues, intrusive security, little personal space, barely edible food, frequent delays and standing room only lounges detract considerably from what should be a great experience.
In contrast, what a pleasure it is to fly with one of our regional operators. Staff are pleased to see you, plenty of room on board, good food, frequent feedback from the cockpit, fast baggage access with parking or a taxi usually only minutes away. I would encourage anyone who has lost enthusiasm for air travel to try something different, choose a destination outside the square and fly with a regional carrier. Every time I do it, it reminds me that air travel can still be a pleasurable and efficient way to access this large country.
