Breaking into a Dash 8 stronghold

Regional turboprop manufacturer ATR finally broke into the Australian market last year after placing a new ATR 42-500 with Queensland based regional MacAir and two used ATR 42-300Fs with freight and charter operator Jetcraft Aviation, which is now owned by Toll Air Express.

But ATR is no stranger to the wider region, having placed new and used aircraft throughout the South Pacific since the early 1990s, and is now well placed to win follow-on orders from many of these operators as they seek to expand or upgrade their fleets.
