Keeping connected

With mobile phones a ubiquitous part of our everyday lives, it seemed that the only place where we could escape them was when flying as a passenger on commercial airliner. Not any more.

After a 10 month trial, Qantas has decided to fit out its domestic Boeing 767-300s and Airbus A330-200s with equipment which will allow passengers to send and receive SMSs and emails and use the internet on their own mobile phones, BlackBerrys and PDAs.
