Army’s Aviation Trade Wing uses one of two Australian Helicopters owned and Boeing Australia operated Bell 412s (pictured) for the basic phase of its Aviation Aircrewman Course. The 412 is also used for crash response at the Aviation Training Centre at Oakey.
Army aviation aircrewman course
Army has introduced a new aircrewman course consolidating and improving the training of its future Black Hawk, Chinook and MRH 90 aircrew.
Restructured as part of a trade review carried out by Army in 2007 on all three of its aviation trades, the first new aviation aircrewman course commenced on September 24.
