Lop-sided Corners?

Here at Australian Aviation we don’t usually like to criticise other media organisations – we’re certainly not perfect! But the October 29 episode of the ABC’s Four Corners program, which until now was probably one of the last bastions of balanced current affairs reporting in Australia, deserves comment. And not so much for the conclusions it drew, but more for the totally lop-sided approach the program took to the subject.

The program focused on the ADF’s decision to retire the F-111 from 2010, and the decision to acquire the Super Hornet and then the F-35 JSF to replace it and the F/A-18 ‘classics’ next decade.
