Dreamliner’s Worsening Nightmare

Boeing has bowed to the inevitable in confirming growing industry speculation that the first flight and first delivery of its advanced 787 Dreamliner will be delayed by about six months.

The manufacturer announced on October 10 that the 787’s first flight has now been pushed back to March 2008, and that deliveries to launch customer All Nippon Airways (ANA) wouldn’t commence until November or December 2008.
