Perhaps the Most Significant Change is a Switch From an Aluminium Sub-frame for the Fuselage to a Composite One, With Carbon-fibre Frames and Aluminium-lithium Alloy Cross-beams Supporting Composite Panels. Airbus Had First Planned to Use Aluminium-lithium Panels on an Aluminium Sub-frame Before Moving to the Composite Panels, but This Latest Change is the Most Radical Yet and Sees Further Advances on Technologies Developed for the A380.
