Tamworth’s Own Airline Is Not Significant So Much For Its Size Or Route Network, But That Is One Of The Most Successful Niche Market Regional Carriers In Australia.

And what has made it successful is the unambiguous, realistic style of its owner and manager, Paul Bredereck. Whether its the clearer air or the more relaxed pace of the country, some of Australia’s most successful regional carriers have been founded by members of the rural community. The likes of Kendell Airlines and Hazeltons have been successful through a rare quality of straightforward direction without the penchant for the self-aggrandisement on the part of their owners that has typified many other carriers which have enjoyed less spectacular performance.

Tamair is one of these breed of airlines that has grown as a result of its manager’s simple love of aviation that has helped shape a modest carrier devoid of complex management structures and empire motives. That is not to say that Tamair will forego opportunities for expansion, but it is realism that steers its careful course rather than the building of networks beyond its resources.
