Qantas at the Crossroads

After a decade of often heated debate the moment of truth has finally arrived for both Qantas and the Federal Government. During the life of this issue the airline will at last go to the market, its real value to be confirmed and unfortunately almost half of it to disappear to overseas interests. From next issue, QF will sort of be only half an Australian icon, something which surely every true Aussie must feel a little uneasy about. Still the sole objective of present day Federal Government policy is to flog off the farm and if it gets a few more sheckles through offering Qantas to foreigners then what the heck!
