The Canadian Armed Forces has allowed its option to acquire a further 20 McDonnell Douglas CF-18 Hornets to lapse. It is now considering varying the mix of single and two seat versions of the Hornet, within the constraints of the 138 aircraft purchase, to enable more of the two seat versions to be obtained.

A ceremony was held at the British Aerospace facility at Broughton, Chester on May 23 to mark the sale of the 600th Bae 125.
