Air NZ Increases Its Profit
Air New Zealand’s tax paid profit of $NZ139. 53 million-up 4. 4% on the previous 12 months to June-was ahead of market Total operating revenue was up 5. 9% to $NZ2. 33bn. The group earned record foreign exchange revenue at $NZ1. 3bn. This included engineering and other contract work performed for overseas clients at $NZ130m. Total passenger seat kilometres rose 5. 7%. The passenger load factor, inclusive of other airline alliance revenues and domestic operations, was 68. 4%, compared with 70. 6% in the previous year.
In September 1992, the company added a new 747-400, and most recently a new 767-300.
