Airworld Problems

Although one of the biggest aviation museums in Australia, the Airworld Museum at Wangaratta, Victoria has suffered a severe downturn of visitors and in this light the Wangaratta City Council, which operates the museum, is reviewing the whole enterprise.

Part of the visitor problem stems from the collapse of Deluxe Coachlines last year. Deluxe used the Museum complex as a terminal and supplied both income and visitors. Both the Federal and State Governments have turned down requests for assistance and at the moment the operation is being funded by the Wangaratta City Council.
