Eastern Australia added a fourth DHC-8-100, Hazelton their second Saab 340A and Air Nelson two more Metro 111s as Regional Airlines continue their extensive re-equipment program.
Eastern Australia Airlines took delivery of their fourth DHC-8-100at Sydney on May 5th, when VH-T QR msn 208 flew in from Alice Springs. In ‘Traffic’ June we incorrectly stated that DHC-8-100 VH-T QQ terminated its delivery flight at Tamworth instead of Sydney. With the introduction into service of these aircraft, Eastern expanded their network to Tasmania on May 14th when VH-T QQ operated their inaugural Launceston to Melbourne flight.
