Overseas Visitors
This has certainly been an interesting period with quite a number of quality overseas visitors flying into Australia.
Melbourne saw the arrival of two aircraft operated by French charter companies. On October 14th DC-8-62CF F-GDJM of Minerve arrived from Mahe and the Cocos Islands. As FQ114 the DC-8 later departed for Singapore. Another Minerve DC-8 to recently visit our region was Dash 53 F-GDPM, which flew from Singapore to Noumea on September 9th as FQ121. F-GDPM was built on order for Japan Air Lines as JA-8009 while F-GDJM started life as 1-DIWC of Alitalia. On October 15th Stair Lockheed L100-30 F-GDAQ arrived in Melbourne from Denpasar as FZ5203.
