Very exciting times recently, with research for the new series entitled ‘A Day in the Life’ which commences this issue, where we highlight the lives of interesting people working in jobs within the aviation industry. Part of this research was a trip to and from Auckland recently on board the flight deck of a Qantas 747-2388, VH-EBO, the ‘City of Elizabeth’. In the series, we will examine the working lives of not only pilots but airport firemen, Air Traffic Controllers and many other significant parts of the aviation workforce.
