Anybody who has ventured outside Australia in the past year, whether on business or pleasure, will not need to be reminded of the dismal state of the once-strong Australian dollar.
That our currency has fared so badly these past few years is cause for concern at every level of Australian society. That concern though is magnified the more a person, company: or institution has to purchase imported goods. One such organisation, of course, is the Department of Defence and the dollar imbalance is beginning to hurt
