NZ Agricultural Operators Planning to Use Methanol in Place of Avgas

With the cost of avgas soaring beyond $1. 10 a litre, New Zealand aerial work operators look like swinging over to methanol fuel soon.

A prototype methanol conversion kit has been developed by Pacific Aerospace of Hamilton. Apart from one anticipated problem that should be easily rectified, the Fletcher Fu24 performed perfectly.
