Piper Tackles Recession With New Models

Piper is tackling the recession with new models. This was the clear message given at the Piper international dealer meeting held at Vero Beach in late 1982.

While most existing Piper models have had mild updates the most exciting news was that two entirely new types were being released later in 1983 that offered significant advances in general aviation levels of performance and fuel efficiency.

The all-new pressurised single-engined Malibu and the pressurised turbocharged twin-engined Mojave added to the revised Aerostar 700P give Piper a worthwhile arsenal of performance aircraft with which to tempt the corporate community when the GA market again begins to stir.
