Hawker de Havilland Australia was originally set up half a century ago in Melbourne and began manufacturing wings for Avro 504K aeroplanes. In 1982, the Hawker de Havilland story Is one not only of manufacture, but also of comprehensive maintenance support, to the Australian and other Defence Forces, and a large number of commercial customers.

The military-commercial nature of Hawker de Havilland’s contracts serves to ensure skilled engineering labour is continually practising its craft. The company is forever looking at more cost-efficient systems, and because of their international reputation for competitiveness and efficiency, are winning impressive contracts from all over the world.
