Airtest – Gulfstream 1000

There are certain aircraft in the Western world’s inventory that stand out as benchmarks of success to most pilots. One is the Aero Commander Line the name has changed during the course of successive financial years but the aircraft and its quality remain top-class in any pilot’s language.

In Australia, the hallmark of a professional “lightie” pilot has always been to be in command of a Commander series type. The !’ pilot’s aircraft” trade mark has been continued with flair and elan in the latest Commander from the new-named stable of Gulfstream American – the Gulfstream American Corporation’s Gulfstream Commander Jet-Prop 1000, now in Australia and marketed by Civil Flying Services.

Aimed at the professional pilot (although there is interest in the new 1000 from private owners, according to CFS in Moorabbin), the new marque is clearly an advanced and sophisticated beast.
