Speedbird One One

Following my ride up front in EWO, I was privileged to share the flight deck with the crew of British Airways Flight BA 11 from Sydney to Brisbane and return.

Heading north once again, further but in almost the same flying time, the 747 was to prove to be the beautiful bird one would expect from such a magnificent-looking machine.

Captain Torquil George met me at the International terminal and together we walked through the departure lounges to Bay 2 on the northern apron, where our steed for the day was being fuelled and serviced, having flown through the night from Singapore, and before that from London via Muscat earlier in the evening.
