Two Top Trainers

Billed as the world’s most popular trainer (according to Wichita’s publicity material), the little Cessna 150’s new sister – the 152 Aerobat – is fast filling the widening gap left by her older kin, in Australia and other parts of the world.

When considering the options for a 150 replacement, Cessna looked into its crystal ball and took a punt on future fuel resources; they decided upon a 110 horsepower motor using 100 octane fuel, reckoning that supplies of 80-87 would become progressively scarcer.

They appear to be right.
