Emergency services were called to the scene of a burning plane at Parafield Airport early on Tuesday after a Grumman AA-5’s engine caught fire shortly after landing at the aerodrome.

According to a report by the Brisbane Times, within the next decade, a new L-shaped building will be built parallel to the newly-opened runway, and connect to the existing domestic terminal.
