It appears the new year has not brought with it any renewed optimism in the Australian aviation market as we mark another dangerously slow quarter on the CASA register. Like much of Australia’s economy, buyers and sellers are perhaps holding out for greener pastures, with interest rates tipped to fall shortly.
Just 410 aircraft swapped hands between mid-November and February, well below recent highs of last year. Overall, the register will remain in balance, with about 70 aircraft being added or returned to the register, and a similar amount exiting it.
