It was a hard slog, but the proof is in the pudding following an announcement by NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) that it will work with the United States Government via a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case to acquire 6 Boeing E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Wedgetail aircraft.

Space Connect’s flagship event will also expand to two days and take place on Tuesday, 28 May and Wednesday, 29 May 2024 at the ICC in Sydney. 

The direct service, which will operate every Tuesday and Thursday to Incheon Airport, will commence on 26 December using Asiana’s A350-900 aircraft. Flights will depart Melbourne at 10pm to arrive in Seoul the following morning.

International traffic in October 2023 was at 95 per cent of 2019 levels, with domestic traffic steady at 90 per cent for a total recovery of 91 per cent. Monthly passenger numbers also topped three million for the first time since January 2020, including more than 2.1 million domestic travellers.

Flight AB1523, Bonza’s inaugural service from its third base, departed the Gold Coast at 9:12am local time on board the airline’s first 737 MAX 8, VH-UIK ‘Bazza’, touching down in Townsville shortly before 11am. It is the first of 14 planned routes to be introduced over the end-of-year period.
