Victor Pody shot the earlier arrival of one of Jetstar s new A321 NEO, VH-OFP
Register Review | Jetstar’s fleet expands
Well, it certainly has been a quarter of movers and shakers, with over 400 aircraft swapping hands since February. A vast majority of these were changes of ownership, however nearly 100 aircraft were added onto the register this quarter – a very welcome sight in the slowing wake of the pandemic.
Perhaps most notably, Jetstar brought the last of its first eight brand-new Airbus A321LRs to the register, VH-OFV and VH-OFW, which are set to touch down on our shores any day. Their delivery will mark the completion of Jetstar’s first batch of A321LRs, which were expected to all be delivered by May 2023 – right on time. A further 10 A321LRs are expected to be received by the airline by mid-2024.
