ISKRA FLYING
At present there are two PZL TS-11 Iskra jet trainers on the CASA register, VH-ADG and VH-ISK. There were some five imported but only one is reported to be flying – VH-ISK.
VH-ISK was spotted in mid-December doing circuits at Latrobe Regional Airport, Victoria. The aircraft had taken up a new owner on 16 November 2020 with Alpha Foxtrot Pty Ltd of Mount Gravatt, Queensland. The unique thing about VH-ISK is that it has been re-engined, with a Rolls-Royce Viper Mk.202 turbojet engine replacing the original SO-3W turbojet.
