BOB HAS spent the vast majority of his working life in aviation. In his own words, “I am just an 80-year-old who does a job I enjoy”. Easy to say, maybe not so easy to actually achieve. So, how did he get to where he is today?

Once upon a time in the north

Robert Stewart Charles Tait was born in Innisfail, Queensland, a few short months before the Battle of Britain would dominate social media feeds around the world. He first fell in love with aviation at around 7 years old, and soon knew that was what he wanted to do with his life.
