Bonza’s Positivity About Aviation 2022 – 2023 is Infectious
Career coach Kirsty Ferguson talks to our newest domestic airline
TALKING TO Tim Jordan (CEO) and Peter McNally (COO) from the newly announced Bonza Airlines was easy and positive. They were generous with their time, as currently in pre-launch, they must be swamped. A great first impression when stepping into the Australian aviation ecosystem. Or should I say re-joining, as they are anything but novices when it comes to our region and industry.
Bonza, rather an unambiguous Aussie brand name, was it their first choice? Apparently not, but it was close. I noted that ExpressJet in the US had just rebranded as ‘aha!’ and wondered if ‘Oi Oi Oi’ was also a front runner? “In the Urban Dictionary, Bonza means ‘great and well executed’ and we need both in the market,” says Tim Jordan. “We wanted to tell people we are different in the market and let people know we are proudly Australian.”
