It’s time for airlines to think about career transitioning pilots aged 35-plus.
Changing career
Is this the right time to become a pilot?
Should you become a pilot? To be brutally honest, I don’t know how to answer that. Many of you asking me this already have successful careers in other industries. Starting a flying career is, in some ways, a giant step sideways, actually backwards in many aspects as you will be starting from the bottom in a hierarchical industry where time on type and seniority rule.
So what does it take, or what sort of person makes this move and turns their world upside down? Let me rephrase that, turns their world upside down. Making this move is about all of you, not just the job.
