The recently announced end of the line for the Airbus A380 was not a surprise for many. The giant of the sky had initially created a stir through its sheer size but had struggled as a commercial success with most of its eggs sitting in the basket of one customer — Emirates.
Always a nerve-wracking business strategy, when Emirates shifted its focus to smaller types, the writing was on the wall for the A380 and Airbus announced that production would end when the final orders were filled.
