Regional aviation makes a huge contribution to the economy, but flies largely under the (political) radar

If profitability is regarded as the key yardstick of success, reporting by two principal Australian regional airlines for the 2017-18 financial year is indicative of both positive performance and optimistic outlooks.

What’s more, it is an outlook bolstered by additional services from both major and smaller regionals, equipment additions and upgrades, and upbeat 2018-19 market forecasts.
