Qantas to serve Kangaroo Island following airport upgrade

South Australia’s Kangaroo Island is looking for a boost to its tourism, the main game on the island, following the decision by Qantas to return to the destination after an 11-year absence.

It has raised hopes for investment and employment opportunities, in a tourist industry worth almost $140 million annually – and with a State government economic target for the island of $180 million by 2020.
