Being a race pilot in the Red Bull Air Race (RBAR) is a lot more than just flying the plane in the track. It’s being the owner of the race team, being the team ‘principal’ and ultimately being responsible for everything that needs to occur within the team to make it functional.

More or less, you’re a CEO who also races a plane. It sounds like a great gig, and it is. Except there is a reality that maintaining the non-flying side of the job and the flying job in equal proportions is not viable.
