Qantas re-ups on A380s with new seats
It’s been almost ten years since Qantas took delivery of VH-OQA, its first Airbus A380, named Nancy-Bird Walton. (no known relation to your columnist), and in the decade since many have asked whether the big jet was too much aircraft for Qantas’ needs. But in a decision that will be seen as a vote of confidence for the A380, Qantas has decided to retain and refurbish its full fleet, nose to tail.
The big changes are upstairs, with business class swapped out for new seats, premium economy nearly doubled in size from 35 to 60 of its latest seats, and economy moved downstairs.
