West Sale in Victoria is the place for JP Jet Provost and BAC Strikemaster aircraft. Seen recently at West sale were two BAC 167 Strikemasters plus two Jet Provosts. The tri plus one are not normally seen as West Sale is a tad off the usual enthusiasts trail.
One Hunting Jet Provost or JP is a T Mk 5A, VH-YZC. With c/n EEP/JP/1030 the machine is powered by a Rolls Royce Viper Mk 202 engine. The aircraft is ex RAF XW408 and has been in Australia some years. Put on the Australian civil register on August 11 2003 it has been owned by Michael Stoneham of Dalmore, Vic. since March 1 2014. It is in open storage.
