Following the launch of the two-seat Cessna 162 Skycatcher at the EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh orders had reached over 400. The Light Sport Aircraft is offered at US$109,500 for the first 1000 aircraft increasing to US$111,500 thereafter.

Airbus announced on August 16 that the first A380 delivery will be made to Singapore Airlines on October 15 with the world’s first A380 commercial service to be conducted from Singapore to Sydney on October 25. To date A380 orders and commitments have been received for 173 aircraft from 14 customers.
