Airbus A320neo family starts at passenger experience advantage to 737 MAX

At the Farnborough Air Show this year, the size of the re-engined narrowbody market was truly highlighted by both Boeing and Airbus, with their market forecasts suggesting that the majority of their business for the next 20 years will be of the narrowbody size.

For the best part of that time period (the market forecasts set out expectations to 2035) the Airbus A320neo Family and Boeing 737 MAX series will be the linchpins of future profitability for Airbus and Boeing. It’s also clear that, at current production rates, the two major airframers cannot meet demand on their own.
