Premium product cabins provide airlines with the opportunity to innovate and distinguish themselves from their competitors. But the challenge is to ensure they are “commercially viable”.
Analysts’ quotes of “how much flatter can a flat-bed be” and this is “a merry-go-round of product improvements” perfectly sum up the endless problem for airlines of what is the next big thing in the pointy end of the aircraft.
Speaking with Australian Aviation Australian Business Traveller’s editor David Flynn suggests that “business class has almost reached a zenith in terms of hard product – once you have a lie-flat bed you can’t go flatter!”
