From its tentative beginnings as a maker of tools for the local automotive industry, Marand Precision Engineering has, in the last 15 years, emerged as Australia’s most engaged company with the $1 trillion F-35 program.

Marand is today headquartered in the Melbourne suburb of Moorabbin, not far from where the company began 46 years earlier, when Egyptian-Maltese immigrantAndy Ellul set up a one‑man tool‑making concern to supply the local car-making industry.
